Darke County Parks Offers
Rewarding Volunteer
Opportunities
Have
you recently retired? Are you looking
for something new and exciting to add to your schedule? Please join us
on Saturday, January 19, 2013, 10AM at Shawnee
Prairie Preserve
Nature Center for a Volunteer Workshop!
We
will share with you what the Darke County
Park District is, how it all began and where the Park District is
today.
Discussion will follow as to how, when, and where you can assist the
Park District
with their endless volunteer opportunities! Rewarding
volunteer positions
include working as a front desk receptionist, assisting with school
groups,
adopting a park, assisting in general upkeep and maintenance of park
grounds,
or helping with our special events such as the Maple Syrup Festival,
Prairie
Days Festival, Nature Day, or Walking in a Winter Wonderland.
There is
something for everyone!
Darke
County Park volunteers can assist with as
many programs and special events as they can work into their busy
schedules.
Join us and bring a friend or two, and see how you can make a
difference by
assisting the Park District. Please call and RSVP by Jan.
11th to the Volunteer Coordinator, Laura
Schwieterman at 937.548.0165 or
emailinglschwieterman@darkecountyparks.org.
We
look forward to meeting each and every one
of you!
