Flicks on Fifth now Theatre
on Third
First
Fridays for July will be celebrated with
the ever popular, Theatre on Third. New name: new location... same
great
entertainment with the showing of "Despicable Me." Bring your lawn
chairs and blankets. Movie will begin at dusk.

Concert
in Greenville Park
July
4, 7:30 pm. Bring your lawn chair or
blanket and enjoy the sounds of instrumental music from the Greenville
Concert
Band in the Greenville City Park this summer. All concerts are held at
the
Marling Band Shell located in the heart of Greenville City Park. The
concerts
are open to the public, free of charge.
Art
at the Mill
July
1 - 21, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. 'Art at the
Mill' exhibit entitled 'interpretations' featuring colorful abstract
prints by
one of Greenville's own, Molly Mote paired with abstract &
whimsical metal
sculptures by Dayton artist Jeff Rutledge will be on display through
July 21.

Steam
Threshers Reunion
July
4 - 7. The Darke County Steam Threshers
Association is dedicated to the preservation of antique agricultural
equipment.
Each year at their annual reunion, they give guests a glimpse of what
rural
life was like in the days of the past. At this event, visitors will see
displays of antique full size steam engines, scale steam engines,
tractors, and
stationary engines, some of these machines will be in use. Exhibitions
on the
various stages wheat goes through to be prepared for use will be
demonstrated.
Harvesting including cutting and bundling will be demonstrated, as well
as
threshing and separating using antique machinery. Visitors can enjoy
plowing
demonstrations and working sawmill demonstrations.

Farm
Power of the Past
July
11 - 14. Farm and machinery enthusiasts
will enjoy this festival held at the Darke County Fairgrounds
highlighting
machinery, implements and equipment, propelled by animals, steam and
internal
combustion engines. In addition, there are over 100 flea market and
craft
vendors, music entertainment, good food, a Sunday car show and fun for
the

Outdoor Concert at Shawnee Prairie
July
20, 7:00 pm. The music of Higgins-Madewell
is a combination of strong vocals, acoustic guitar and heartfelt
original
lyrics that is difficult to classify as one specific genre. Their
original music
ranges from country to a soulful rock sound and appeals to a broad
range of
people. Higgins-Madewell’s versatility, professionalism, dedication and
genuine
love for the audience is apparent. This concert is FREE. Bring is a

Annie
Oakley Festival
July
26 -28. The mere mention of the name
"Annie Oakley" brings to mind a legend, a legacy and a piece of
American history. The life of Phoebe Anne Moses served as an
exclamation point
honoring the Great American West. Darke County will forever be linked
to Annie

July
25 - 27. This is one shopping event that
you won't want to miss! Thousands of people line the streets early to

Celebrate
with Fireworks!
New
Madison will begin their celebration on July 3 and wrap
up on the Fourth with the fireworks set to begin at 10 pm.
Ansonia celebrates
Independence Day, July 4-6. The
fireworks are set to be set off at dusk on July 5.
Union
City will begin their annual fireworks display on
July 6 at Harter Park at dusk.
