larger
tent will include new bar space as well as seating in the grass near
the
stage. In addition
to the always popular
ice cold draft beer and the Versailles Winery, an offering of craft
beer will
be added for the largest beverage selection to date!
Most importantly, the festival entertainment
medley is a record with 10 talented musical groups!
Entertainment will include a large selection
of local talent, including Bushwack and 8 Ball making rare not to be
missed
appearances.
Friday
June 14th, 4:00-5:00, On the Radar.
This younger generation band consists of three
Versailles High School sophomores concentrating on classic rock ‘n’
roll along
with the new generation pop rock.
“On
the Radar” is serious about their performances, but they always find a
way to
add a twist of fun to keep the entertainment level high. 5:00-7:30, Almost Empty is
the acoustic spin
off from the band “Empty Tank”.
Comprised of three local musicians who came
together while attending The
Ohio State, this group has been fortunate enough to play in a variety
of venues
from the local taverns to Put-in-Bay!
Their musical genres range from the 60's to
present; these men pride
themselves on reaching a wide variety of listeners and couldn't be more
excited
to play at Poultry Days this year.
8:00-11:30, Nashville Crush.
These guys have succeeded where many others
have failed! Made
up of some of the best musicians and
vocalists around, Nashville Crush presents a perfect balance of Country
and
Rock music. Mix
that with their high
energy, award winning stage show and you have something that pleases
people of
all ages and backgrounds. Joining
them
for the festival is Jessica Kenney, a high energy country artist based
in
Mason, Ohio. She
has the ”young
attitude” of Taylor Swift, the ”rockin’ band” of Jason Aldean, and the
”pop
production” of Carrie Underwood. Shelby
County Line is another young local group that will also accompany
Nashville
Crush.
Saturday
June 15th, 12:15-1:15, TRSS Drum Corp 100% sounds of
percussion. T.R.S.S
{The Return of
ScoomSquad} Drum Corp was founded in 2003 by director Montrea
Blackshear. Members
of this urban corps range from 9 to
36 years of age. They are a very entertaining, spirited, energetic
group that
will excite their audiences. 1:30-4:30,
Higgins-Madewell Hippie Country that rocks!
The music of Higgins-Madewell is a combination
of strong vocals,
acoustic guitar and heartfelt original lyrics that is difficult to
classify as
one specific genre. Their
music appeals
to a broad range of people, and their fan base spans from teens to
retirees. Their
influences include
AC/DC, Sheryl Crow, Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and Beth
Hart. This may
sound like a strange
combination, but once you’ve seen them perform it makes perfect sense! Higgins-Madewell’s
versatility,
professionalism, dedication, and genuine love for the audience is very
apparent. 5:00-8:00, Pocket Change “Music is what words cannot say”,
and Pocket
Change has been very effective in achieving that idea.
This pop/rock group’s main interest is rocking
the stage, expanding their strengths while also dipping into some songs
that no
one else performs. They
define their
generation with songs by Gavin DeGraw, The Black Keys, Imagine Dragons,
Bachman
Turner Overdrive, and countless others.
Pocket Change has created a song list that
turns heads. Individually,
all the guys in the band are
unique and talented musicians but together, they are one sound for many
generations. 8:30-11:30,
Bushwack Publicly
debuting in April of 1976, this
group became the area’s most popular band of the era.
In 1978 Bushwack performed at their first
Poultry Day’s and made many repeat appearances with a reunion in 1999. The band prides itself on
playing mainly 70’s
rock ’n’ roll, which is now considered classic rock.
Great entertainment for both the young and
old.

the trials and tribulations that come with it.

music around the area with
solo shows, as a duo, or with “Mark Cantwil and the Punch-Drunk Heroes”. In addition to Mark’s

the Bands
