Cancer
Association’s
yearly Gospel Sing on November 17
The Cancer
Association of
Darke County is pleased to have one of the state’s leading Southern
Gospel groups coming to Greenville on Sunday, November 17. The
concert will be held at Memorial Hall at 4 p.m. Admission is free
and a freewill offering will be taken with all proceeds to go to the
Cancer Association of Darke County.
The Majestic
Sounds Quartet
is based out of Wilmington, Ohio. The group has performed from
Michigan to Florida and Missouri to New Mexico.
The group was
formed in
2008 and they sing traditional gospel music for the purpose of
uplifting brothers and sisters in Christ.
Members of the
group are
Norma Patterson, lead singer; Ben Russell, Tenor, Keith Petrequin,
Baritone and Jim Spradling, Bass. The Majestic Sounds are honored to
be a part of the 2013 cancer benefit.
Also
ministering in the
concert this year is Gloria Ward. Gloria was born in Columbus, Ohio
and has sung in the tri state area and beyond for many years. She is
an ordained minister. She loves to sing gospel music and her
favorite is to sing is acapella. She is honored to be a part of the
Cancer Association’s sing this year. She and her husband Eugene,
who is a retired firefighter, live in fountain City, IN.
