JFK Display at Library
The
Greenville Public
Library received an invaluable collection of original magazines and
newspapers from the early 1960's featuring the life and passing of
John F. Kennedy who was assassinated on November 22, 1963. The
collection consists of two copies of Post, four of Look, one of
Life, one of Redbook, and a half dozen newspapers. These primary
sources will be of interest to teachers, students, and anyone who
loves history.
The
collection was
part of the estate of Vivian Lucille Eley (1915-2012) and was donated
by her son Dennis Eley. The collection is on display in the Reading
Room on the second floor of the Library for the month of November.
