DCCA
goes on the road to see Harry Connick, Jr.
Darke
County Center for the Arts has announced a road trip on Thursday,
October 24, providing the opportunity for local residents to enjoy a
show that cannot be presented locally. “DCCA is inviting our
community to go along for the ride when we see Harry Connick, Jr. at
the beautiful Ohio Theatre in Columbus,” said Andrea Jordan,
Executive Director of the arts organization. The motor coach will
leave from Kroger parking lot at 4 p.m. to arrive at the theater in
time for dinner prior to the 7:30 p.m. performance by the legendary
performer.
“Harry
is one of the most popular and best-selling recording artists in the
country who has starred in movies and on television; and we are going
to see him up close in person in a spectacular venue,” Ms. Jordan
continued. “To say that we are thrilled and excited about this is a
definite understatement.” First coming to national prominence with
his Grammy-winning soundtrack for the hit movie When Harry Met Sally,
Harry Connick, Jr. has sold over 25 million albums since making his
first commercial recording in 1987.
DCCA
On the Road is sponsored by Greenville residents and long-time arts
supporters David and Roberta Feltman, who invite their friends to
join the fun. Snacks and drinks will be provided on the motor coach.
Arrangements are being made for a box supper to be served in a
private room at the historic theater; the cost of the meal is not
included in the ticket price.
Total
cost for the show, transportation, and light refreshments is $85.
Tickets are limited, to reserve your seat, contact DCCA at
