Celebrate
Spring at Historic Bear’s Mill
The
Friends of Bear’s Mill will be hosting their annual Spring Open
House on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 from 11:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. The Mill Store will be offering food tastings of new
gourmet products and special grab bag discounts storewide. Shop the
Mill store for gift ideas for Mother’s Day with a wide selection of
gourmet food, home décor, kitchen gadgets and women’s jewelry and
accessories.
In
the Mill Gallery enjoy works by two exceptional artists whose
colorful creations celebrate springtime! Doug McLarty with
scanography – a photographic process, and Jim DeLange with
masterful hand blown glass pieces. This exhibit will remain on
display in the gallery during normal business hours through Sunday,
May 25.
“If
you haven’t been to the Mill all winter it is time to pay a visit”
stated Julie Clark, retail manager. “New merchandise is arriving
daily in preparation for Mother’s Day, weddings and other
gift-giving occasions this season. We invite the public and visitors
to come out and take a walk on the beautiful grounds and a
self-guided tour through the historic mill. Enjoy the nature and
history that surrounds this special place.”
The
Friends of Bear’s Mill, Inc. keep the Mill open to the public
through individual and corporate donations, grants, an educational
tour program, Mill Store & Gallery sales and several special
events that generate interest in and visitation to the historic site.
