Dining By Rail
deadline approaching
The deadline for reservations for the Dining By Rail is fast
approaching. The fund raising Dinner and silent auction is being held
at the Turtle Creek Golf Club located west of Bradford at 6545 US 36. A
paid reservation is required to attend. Reservation forms are available
through the website at www.bradfordrrmuseum.org or by calling Marilyn
Kosier the Chair person at 740-215-4229. Reservation forms will be
available at the museum April 5 10 am - 1 pm and April 6 1 pm- 4
pm.
This year the dinner is a plated served dinner featuring the
Pennsylvania Railroad recipes.
The Dining By Rail has moved from Versailles to Covington and now will
be at Greenville. Next year's location has not been decided. The
benefits from the dinner and silent auction go toward the capital
improvements at the museum. The museum is completing the renovation of
the basement this spring into a children's learning center. Thanks to
the generous donors this renovation will be completed for the museum
opening April 13 at 2 pm. The museum is supported by donations, grants
and fund raising events such as the Ding By Rail and the Run for the
Rails 5- K run.
The Dining By Rail event captures some of the atmosphere of an era of
passenger trains with 5 star dining car service. The doors will open at
6 pm with the call to dinner at 6.30. The entertainment for the evening
will be provided by musician Joseph Helfrich.
Seating is limited to the first 120 reservations. There are
silent auction items from local merchants like Patty's IGA, Kim Noll,
LMT, Flora's Service, Shindig, Meijer, Young's Dairy, Cincinnati Reds,
King's Island, Springfield Symphony and Refectory Reservations, and
Round of Golf at Turtle Creek
If you enjoy music, good food and a silent auction this is an event
that you are sure to enjoy. The last day for reservations is April 9th
to assure a seat at the table.
