Boehner
invites 8th District students to participate in STEM competition
WASHINGTON,
DC – Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) today invited 8th
Congressional District high school students to participate in the
first annual Congressional Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
(STEM) Academic Competition, the “House App Contest.”
“Getting
our economy moving and creating new jobs goes beyond passing
legislation that will encourage job creation; it also means focusing
on the future of our country, our young people,” Boehner said. “The
Congressional STEM Competition will place the brightest and
most creative young minds from high schools throughout the 8th
District at the forefront of innovation, and I encourage high school
students to participate in this important contest. STEM fields are
the future of job creation in this country, and these students will
have an opportunity to make significant contributions at an early
age.”
