Breast Cancer
Awareness at Library
The Green ville Public Library is again hosting a very special Breast
Cancer Awareness display on the first floor. Debb Summers, a
popular hairdresser at Creations Hair Studio in Greenville, shared a
photo journal of her experience with breast cancer. The pictures
were taken at key points during her treatment and chronicle important
milestones in her journey. At the one-year mark Debb had a family
photo taken, the last in the series.
The Library is grateful to Debb for sharing her experience as an
inspiration to other women and their families. Information &
materials from Wayne Healthcare are also available at the display and
proceeds from the donation box by Circ Desk will go to Breast Cancer
research. As a way to draw attention to this important issue the
Library staff will be wearing pink boas throughout the month of
October! When patrons ask, staff can refer them to the display.
