Walking for
Wildflowers
Darke County Parks is offering a Spring Hiking Series showcasing the
Wildflowers in three of your parks. We’ll begin at Coppess Nature
Sanctuary on Thursday April 9 at Noon in search of early blooming
Bloodroot. The hiking series will then take us to Routzong
Preserve on Wednesday April 29 at 6pm to witness the carpet of
Large-flowered Trilliums. Lastly, join park naturalists at Eidson
Woods on Saturday May 16 at 2pm. Puttyroot Orchid leaves are
easily spotted at Eidson, but the bloom is very elusive.
Celebrate spring by walking for wildflowers. For more
information, please contact the Nature Center at 548-0165.
