Sugarin’
Back by popular demand and just in time for the upcoming maple sugaring
season, join the Darke County Park District on Saturday, February 28th
at 2:00pm to learn a new woodland skill! At the program, you will learn
how to tap your own maples, how and when to collect the sap and,
finally, how to go about turning that sap into maple goodness!
Demonstrations and hands-on experience will ensure that by the end of
the program, you’ll have the skills needed to produce your very own
maple syrup, sugar and more! Please dress for the weather as we will
spend the majority of our time outdoors and in the Sugar Shack.
