STEM judges
needed for Believe in Ohio competition
The Ohio Academy of Science has instituted the Inaugural Believe in
Ohio STEM Commercialization Plan Competition. It's very exciting to see
many of our Darke County Schools taking advantage of this program. We
are all working collaboratively to improve the opportunity for students
for next year. Please share with your colleagues and community members
as we need to have even more legislative, district and teacher support
to ensure the future of this amazing program, thus ensuring future
opportunities for our students.
I commend those teachers who are taking part in this new program. I
appreciate your dedication to the program and your students. I can't
wait to see all of the successes yet to come for those students!
We are still in need of judges for the regional and state level
competitions. The regional judging will be entirely electronic and the
state competition will be held in Columbus on Saturday, April 25th. We
are especially in need of judges that have a business background... so
please spread the word if you can! I have attached more information
about judges needed as well.
If you have any questions, please let me know! I am already excited
about next year because we are developing resources for teachers to
embed this FREE program right into the classroom as it follows the CCSS
for ELA, NOLS for Science as well as many other important skills for
career and college readiness.
Thank you again for your participation and support,
Angie
