FREE Winter
Birdfeeding Workshop at Shawnee Prairie
Winter may often seem drab, but inviting our feathered friends to your
feeders will add a jolt of color and activity to your surroundings!
Join a Darke County Parks Naturalist on Thursday, February 12th at
6:00pm as we discuss the wide variety of birdseed, feeders, and other
“must haves” offered where ever birdseed is sold. Discover the best
seed for your favorite birds or how to get the best “bang for your
buck”. By the end of this program, you will be armed with the knowledge
on how to enjoy a winter full of colorful birds! This program will
occur indoors at the Nature Center at Shawnee Prairie (4267 State Route
502 West) and will offer a chance to observe our feeding station to
gather ideas for your setup. Please call the Nature Center at
937.548.0165 to register. For more information on all upcoming
programs offered by the Darke County Parks, please visit our website at
