Cancer Association of Darke County
Annual National
Cancer Survivor’s Day Walk at Chenoweth Trails
Each year the Cancer Association of Darke County holds a survivor’s
walk in conjunction with the National Cancer Survivor’s Day. This
year the event was held at the scenic Chenoweth Trails located on
Greenville-Nashville Rd. on Sunday, June 7.
The weather was beautiful, as the surroundings were, and refreshments
were provided and door prizes given as well.
The event provided an opportunity to gather and celebrate cancer
survivors as well as remember those who lost their battle to this very
serious illness.
Live music was provided by Country Harmony and 24/7. Youth for Christ
donated their time in helping prepare the food.
The association wants to thank all that attended and supported the
event in any way. The Light Foundation generously donated their
facility for this event. For any who have not visited Chenoweth
Trails, check them out on the web:

The cancer association appreciates all donations and is overseen by a
volunteer board that determines how donations are to be used, etc. The
expenses are kept to a minimum so the bulk of the monies go to the
cancer patients living in Darke County. The only
requirement to receive benefits is to reside in Darke County and have a
confirmed diagnosis of cancer.
The association partners with United Way and is not affiliated with the
American Cancer Society or other cancer groups.
If you would like to donate, please send donations to Cancer
Association of Darke County, PO Box 781, Greenville, OH
45331. If you have questions, feel free to call the office and
speak with Christine Lynn, Director at 937-548-9960.
