Thienn Snipps
to Perform at Edison’s 45 Live
The vocal group Thienn Snipps will perform at Edison Community College
on Monday, March 30 at 6 p.m. in room 107 at the Piqua campus. The
concert is free and open to the community.
Thienn Snipps is their name and their game started in 1990 as a
barbershop quartet in Fort Recovery, Ohio. In need of a sponsor, the
musicians contacted local barber Mr. Snipps whose name they adopted.
Beginning with four members, the group has grown to seven members who
perform a variety of music including gospel, country, early rock and
roll, and some contemporary tunes. George Stammen, Jerry Reinhard and
Dan Diller are the group’s vocalists and all other members sing back up
and play musical instruments: Norb Schlecty, guitar, mandolin and
fiddle; Cliff Hansel, bass, guitar, and banjo; Larry Dragosavac, guitar
and mandolin; and Sylvester “Ves” Guggenbiller, guitar and harmonica.
Room 107 has recently been refurbished courtesy of the Miami County
Foundation and now sports a stage and an enhanced sound system, which
is ideal for the second in a series entitled 45 Live, meaning 45
minutes of live music. The seating is comfortable and the room is
wheelchair accessible.
Visitor parking is available at the West Hall lot with additional
parking at the Emerson Center. For more information, contact a resource
specialist at 937-778-8600.
