Fall Genealogy Workshop

The Darke County Genealogical Society, Inc. will hold its Fall Genealogy Workshop on Saturday, Oct. 8. Featured speaker will be Katherine Willson.

The sessions will be held at Garst Museum, Lowell Thomas Meeting Room, 205 N. Broadway, Greenville, OH 45331. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

9:15 – 9:30 Introductions and Welcome

Session 1: Little-Known & Rarely Used Google Resources & Search Tips including Google Books & Inter-Library Loan

Session 2: They Didn’t All Come Through Ellis Island

Lunch Break (on your own – brown bag or nearby restaurants)

Session 3: Which Way Did She Go? Finding Those Elusive Maiden Names

Session 4: They Did What? Finding Archived Articles About Your Ancestors

Pack your lunch – drinks & dessert furnished; Juice, coffee & rolls/muffins & fruit available in the morning. Door Prizes and Handouts. Pre-Registration before September 23, 2016 - is $20. Registration at the door is $25.

Katherine Willson is from Ann Arbor, MI and is a highly acclaimed and professionally trained national public speaker. Her genealogy interest began when she was very young. Katherine’s continued research evolved into teaching Genealogy 101, Genealogy 102, and Computer Genealogy classes for Ann Arbor Rec & Ed for the last 13 years, as well as taking on multiple private clients, for whom she complies family history books for publication.
