Men’s Club to feature local political consultant
The Darke County Republican Men’s Club will meet Sat, Dec 16, 2015 at
BRC. Start eating at 7:30. Meeting starts at 8 am. Will be collecting
dues for 2018.
Our speaker for December is Katie Deland and her bio is below. As we
end this year, it is time to start gearing up for the elections in
2018. Many have not been faithful in attendance this past year, but I
fully expect all of you to show up from now through the next calendar
year. It is your club and your attendance is necessary and wanted.

Katie graduated from Versailles High School in 2002. She attended
The Ohio State University and majored in Business English, with a focus
on technical and professional writing. With a strong interest in
public policy, Katie worked for both the U.S. House of Representatives
in the Congressional Page Program and for the Ohio House of
Representatives as a legislative aide for then Representative Keith
Faber. These experiences formed a foundation for her current
career working as a government affairs consultant for Duane Morris
Government Affairs, headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This work brings her into frequent interaction with our local, state,
and federal delegations.
Katie is passionate about conservative policy issues and was recently
appointed to the Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee to serve
a vacancy in the 12th district. She is also the secretary for the
Darke County Republican Party Executive Committee and is committed to
preserving our party and holding it at the highest standard.
Katie is married to her college sweetheart, Tim, has five children, and
recently moved back to North Star.
