Camping Class
at Library
The Greenville Public Library's Teen Department is offering a class on
primitive camping on Saturday June 17th from 1:00 to 3:00. The
program is open to students ages 11 to 18 but parents are welcome to
attend with their kids. Local outdoors enthusiast Aaron Olson
will be going over some of the basics of primitive camping: how to
choose a campsite, start a fire using a ferro rod, set up a tent, and
find edible plants. He will also demonstrate knife selection and
safety. At the end we'll make s’mores! Join us for an
educational and fun afternoon.
The event will be held at the library, on the front lawn. No
pre-registration is necessary… show up and enjoy!
