Dr. Paul Jones
to speak at Living with Cancer Support Group
Public is invited. Free admission. Thursday, June 1 at 7 pm at Wayne
HealthCare. (Located in the Board Room down past the lab to the left.)
Paul Jones is a native of Ohio and a graduate of The Ohio State
University School of Veterinary Medicine. He attended Miami University
in Oxford, Ohio for 3 years prior to acceptance into the Veterinary
School at The Ohio State University. He attends accredited continuing
education courses for several days each year to learn about advances in
veterinary medicine. This combined with extensive reading helps keep
him aware of the studies being done to help improve the treatment your
pet needs to stay healthy.
Dr. Jones worked part time in a pet shop while attending high school in
Willoughby, Ohio. There he had a chance to work with many different
animals and strengthen and increase his interest in the health and
wellbeing of pets of different kinds. While attending Miami University
he took a part time job with a local veterinarian. He learned how
veterinarians handle and diagnosis pets, and experienced firsthand the
dedication and man hours involved in running your own veterinary
practice.
He purchased the Greenville Veterinary Clinic in 1989 where he
continues to work caring for dogs and cats. He also conducts first aid
seminars every quarter for police canine officers to teach them how to
provide emergency care for their police dogs.
Dr. Jones currently resides in Darke County with his wife, Kathy. They
live with a Welsh pony, 3 Brittanys, 1 Shih Tzu, 1 Doberman, 4 cats, 2
Pygmy goats, and a flock of homing pigeons. He has 3 children, 2
stepchildren, and 4 grandchildren. His oldest granddaughter is 8 years
old and loves to come help Grampa at work on Saturday morning.
Cancer Association of Darke County is glad to have Paul speak again to
the group. The public is invited and light refreshments will be
available.
