Studies prove the one-to-one mentoring services Big Brothers Big
Sisters provides to at-risk youth helps children, families, and
communities beat the odds. These services allow a child facing
adversity to be matched up with a caring mentor who provides guidance
and support, leading to long-term success in school and life. Big
Brothers Big Sisters’ vision is for all children to achieve success in
life. Their mission is to provide children facing adversity with
strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships
that change their lives for the better, forever. By partnering
with parents and guardians, volunteers, and others in the community
they are accountable for each child in their program achieving higher
aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships along with
avoiding risky behaviors and attaining educational success.
