Downtown Development Session Offers
Perspective From An Expert
GREENVILLE, Ohio- Main Street Greenville and Sue Bowman, HER
Realtors have teamed up to present an informational session about the
development and rehabilitation of downtown properties. The
evening session, to be held on Monday, March 26th, will feature the
insights of Jason Duff, an experienced developer of historic commercial
buildings. Jason Duff is Founder and CEO of Bellefontaine Ohio
Properties Limited, a development firm that purchases and remodels
storefront buildings on Main Street in Bellefontaine, Ohio. The
firm works to attract, recruit and start new businesses in the
community of Bellefontaine. Duff is also a third generation business
owner, involved in the family-owned enterprise Ohio Ready Mix.
Duff has been widely recognized for his work as a real estate developer
and for his revitalization efforts. He shares advice as a contributor
to Inc., Forbes and Entrepreneur magazines. In 2012 and 2013, Duff was
recognized by the White House as one of the top 100 entrepreneurs in
the United States. He was the recipient of the prestigious 2005 Global
Student Entrepreneurship Social Impact Award. He also received the “20
Under 40 Business Award” from The Business Journal of West Central Ohio
and appears as keynote speaker. He was featured in the November 2008
and January 2009 issues of Inc., and on Inc.’s annual list of the 5000
fastest-growing private American companies.

rehabilitating historic properties, and business recruitment,” said
Crysta Hutchinson, Executive Director of Main Street Greenville. “He
has helped bring about incredible progress for the downtown district in
Bellefontaine and we are thrilled that he is willing to share his
knowledge and suggestions with current and prospective property owners
here in Greenville.”
The session will feature perspectives and advice from Duff and other
industry experts who have gone through the rehabilitation process and
can now share their secrets to success. Topics such as the development
of upper floor apartments, the costs of renovation, and recruiting
tenants for storefront properties will be covered. Time for questions
from the audience will also be allotted so participants can pose their
own queries. The session will be held on Monday, March 26th from
6:00 - 7:30 pm at Montage Cafe.

continued development of historic downtown Greenville.
