Rustic Hope Founder to speak at DCRW meeting
RSVP Deadline Dec. 5
GREENVILLE, OHIO – Connie McEldowney, founder of Rustic Hope, will be
the featured speaker at the December 9 meeting of the Darke County
Republican Women’s Club. The meeting will be held at the Chestnut
Village Center of the Brethren Retirement Community, 750 Chestnut
Street in Greenville.
“I asked God to use me to be a better option than abortion for young
mothers facing unplanned pregnancies. Though I had no idea what that
request would evolve into, I knew I had to do something!” said Connie
McEldowney, the founder of Rustic Hope.
Pregnancy can be a very difficult time for young women without a
support system, and Rustic Hope faithfully believes that providing
loving support is imperative to healthy pregnancies.
Rustic Hope is a 501c3 non-profit organization that offers free support
to single mothers before, during, and after delivery. It is Christ
centered and family focused. It also provides help and support in
arranging private adoptions. All of its services are free.
“The DCRWC is delighted to have Connie introduce us to the calling,
vision and operations of Rustic Hope.” said Betty Hill, DCRWC
President. “We are encouraging our members to bring Christmas donations
for the organization. Things needed by Rustic Hope include: new or
gently used baby clothing, car seats, blankets, toys, diapers of all
sizes, wet wipes, non-perishable foods, freezer meats, furniture, basic
household items, and monetary donations.”
The evening’s program is free and does not require reservations. The
Club does offer an optional dinner prior to the speaker’s program, at a
per person cost of $10 for those who would like to attend and have made
reservations for the meal. Dinner reservations must be made prior to
noon, December 5, by calling Wavelene Denniston at (937) 547-6477 or
