Quilt
Club at Library
The Greenville Public Library welcomes back the Towne Squares Quilt
Club on Saturday March 16th from 9:00 to 4:00. Once again they
will be set up at the Library to display their beautiful quilts and the
craft behind creating them. If you’ve ever wondered what goes into
making a quilt or simply love the splendor and design of quilts, then
stop in. The quilters will be happy to answer any question that you
might have about quilting.
This year the quilters are working on pillowcases for servicemen
overseas in association with the Blue Star Mothers of America who
support military personnel and their families. “The military
represents all aspects of America as does our organization. We have
over 6,000 members from over 200 Chapters throughout the nation.” For
more info visit bluestarmothers.org.
The Club holds a monthly business meeting the third Tuesday of the
month in the BRC Brick Room at 7:00 p.m. They love new members so
anyone interested in quilting is welcome. They span all levels of
skills and experience. Being a part of a club provides additional
benefits such as friendship, mentorship, and camaraderie. The Club
auctions quilts each year for charity and donates quilts to
Hospice. See facebook.com/TowneSquaresQuiltClub for more info
