Q & A Scheduled for Republican Primary
Candidates
On April 11, the public is invited to hear the candidates who will
appear on the Republican ballot for the upcoming May 3 Primary
Election. These candidates are who you will vote for if you request a
Republican ballot at your polling place. The office of Greenville Mayor
is the only contested race – with Republican incumbent Mayor Mike
Bowers being challenged by current Greenville City Council Republican
member Doug Schmidt. Republican candidate for Greenville auditor is
incumbent Nancy Myers. Greenville City Council members for Ward
1, Kate Kerg, and Ward 4, John A. Baumgardner, are also unopposed. Ward
