Five Darke County students get nod for scholarships

GREENVILLE─The Senior Scribes’ Scholarship Fund recently announced the recipients of its 2011 Scholarship awards. After evaluation by a committee, the following Darke County students were each chosen as recipients of a $1,000 scholarship. Margaret Prakel, a student at Versailles High School, will receive the Biddlestone “In Memoriam Fred Wright Scholarship.” Prakel plans to attend Notre Dame and major in Communications. Politico reported at 8 p.m. that Reps and Dems had reached agreement on rider issues, such as Planned Parenthood, but still hadn’t gotten together on budget numbers. As of 10 p.m. no more news.
