Five Darke County students get nod for
scholarships

GREENVILLE─The Senior Scribes’ Scholarship Fund recently announced the
recipients of its 2011 Scholarship awards. After evaluation by a
committee, the following Darke County students were each chosen as
recipients of a $1,000 scholarship. Margaret Prakel, a student at
Versailles High School, will receive the Biddlestone “In Memoriam Fred
Wright Scholarship.” Prakel plans to attend Notre Dame and major in

Politico reported at 8 p.m. that Reps and Dems had reached agreement on
rider issues, such as Planned Parenthood, but still hadn’t gotten
together on budget numbers. As of 10 p.m. no more news. Editor’s Note: It is April 2011 and
the federal government may shut down because the Democratic Congress
passed no budget last year. I think that’s worthy of note… don’t you?
