On Monday, January 10, Jim Zehringer was sworn in as Director of
Agriculture for the State of Ohio, which meant that his seat as state
representative of the 77th House District was vacated. Jim served
the district admirably for several years and he is going to be a great
Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture. Jim’s work on the
Grand Lake issues exemplified his ability to be a leader and he will
take his passion for this issue to his position as a cabinet
member. He has taken great steps to work for solutions Grand Lake
and has left big shoes to fill. On January 11, 2011 I was sworn in as
State Representative to fill Representative Zehringer’s unexpired

LEVEL
2 ICE/SNOW EMERGENCY IN EFFECT OVERNIGHT
|
As
of 6:00 PM, Thursday, February 3rd, 2011, Darke County went from a
Level 1 to a Level 2 Snow Emergency. With the sun setting, roads will
refreeze and become treacherous due to thick ice. With bitterly cold
temperatures expected overnight, conditions will be very hazardous and
travel is not recommended during the overnight hours, particularly on
secondary roadways.
The Level 2 Snow Emergency will remain in place until 7:00 AM on
Friday, February 4th, 2011, unless otherwise advised. At that time, a
Level 1 Snow Emergency will take effect.
