HOW TO
PASS GREENVILLE LEVY - TODAY IS SUNDAY,

What Greenville needs to do to pass a levy,
By Stephen Gruber, Ph.D.
Hello Bob, I know that you have been a supporter of Greenville City
Schools and their efforts to build new facilities. With this in mind I
have decided to share some thoughts with you regarding the next levy
campaign. Positive in nature
No blame and shame voters if they have not voted in favor of the levy
in the past or use guilt tactics such as “you benefited from the system
now you need to pay for the next generation.” Don’t promote a
crisis. Even though this seems to be the way to get things done
in Congress we should be above the notion that “no good crisis should
go to waste.” Sure, some of the buildings are very old and in need of
replacement... Read More. See More

CHALLENGING FEBRUARY |
February’s Ice & Snow Challenges
The recent ice and snow Darke Countians and Southwest Ohio residents
have been facing offer opportunities for beauty, and for challenges.
The unbroken stretch for the past several weeks has also led many to
“cabin fever.” Some have chosen to depict the weather from their
perspective. Angela Chavez, Dayton, and Senior Scribe Lyn Bliss,
Greenville, have sent pictures of the beauty, and the danger, presented
by Mother Nature. Senior Scribe Bev Hughes... Read More. See More Photos. |

FROM
THE
EDITOR - TODAY IS SUNDAY,

Greenville has tried three times to pass a new facilities levy. Three
times, the voters said no. Senior Scribe Robert Rhoades analyzed the
voting and noted that city residents said yes; others said no.
Conclusion? Get outlying areas involved in the process. Today, former
Greenville High School principal and GHS graduate Dr. Stephen Gruber
offers his approach to reaching the voters. His thoughts are definitely
worthy of note. In News: Kasich firm on union bargaining changes and
