Unions have been around in the employee ranks of the City of Greenville
for quite a while. Firefighters originally belonged to the
International Association of Firefighters Local in Piqua. Then
around 1952 they formed their own Local, IAFF Local 1101. During
that period of time, there was no collective bargaining or negotiations
so it mostly existed for the access it gave the members to Union
lawyers. Things started falling apart around 1970 because of the

Assembly for the Manufacturing of Drugs
On February 21, 2011 the Darke County Drug Task Force received
information that a subject was seeking pre-cursor items (ingredients)
for the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine. Reports indicated

You can’t turn on a
news channel without seeing what’s happening in Wisconsin; and Ohio has
its own union battles potentially brewing. Unfortunately, it’s hard to
get a perspective on who’s right and who’s wrong and “is there an
in-between”? Check out Bob Rhoades’ opinion, our lead story. There is,
indeed, enough blame to go around. Ever had a cell phone ring in a
