Happy Birthday, Doc!!
By Bob Robinson
Well… he’s still alive and kicking, and he assured me that his
water-logged ears have been drained by now. He hasn’t said much about
his experience yet, but maybe one of these days he’ll take a few
minutes to write about it. So who am I talking about? Delbert
Blickenstaff, M.D. Retired. The Family Healthcare icon turned 90 years
old on July 3. The next day he headed off to Kentucky (or was it
Tennessee?) to go White Water Rafting. I, along with other Senior
Scribes, received an invitation to his 90th birthday party at the
Chestnut... Read More. More Senior Scribes.

Preempting the New Year’s Resolution Madness...
Be Less Stressed
By Kayla Lemar
Maybe your mom just had a baby—a wonderful baby, that poops and
slobbers and hogs attention. Trig could be on your course list
for fall, which means serious rejection potential for that academic
scholarship. Maybe you just have poor time management
skills. Or home life could be rough. There are lots of
things... Read More. More Teen Scribes. |

|
“Verity - the quality or state of being true or real; Balderdash – nonsense.”
An “Entitlement???”
By Bob Robinson
I didn’t write this (I seldom do with the V&B’s I post). I got it

same thing. People are ANGRY!!! Lousy approval ratings for the
president. Lousier approval ratings for Congress. They can’t get
together on anything, much less a... Read

Allen West’s Gentlemanly Behavior
By Star Parker
Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), also Democratic
National Committee chair, suggested that the nasty email she got from
Congressman Allen West (R-FL), responding to her attack on him in the
House, resulted from him being “under pressure.” Of course, Allen West
is under pressure. As is every...

NOTES
FROM
THE

2011 |
I checked the Sheriff’s Office facebook page… lots of comments on this
near tragedy. Nearly all of them were supportive of a family hurting.
We still have values in Darke County. I wonder if that will ever happen
in our nation’s capitol? Also in News: Peter Welch rises as liberal voice of reason; and Business travel on rise as economy rebounds. Letters: Uniquely Poor Journalism by Al Bliss. Blogs:
