Suicide, Conveyance Fees top stories in May
As County News Online Readership grows, we have begun tracking the most
popular stories each month. In May, readers took two local issues to
heart as the 10 stories of top interest. The highest readership in
CNO’s history went to Bob Rhoades’ opinion on suicide and how it has
impacted Darke County. He expressed his concern over the three suicides
we already have and an attempt rate of one every three days. Getting
the second most attention were the back-and-forth opinions between
Editor Bob Robinson and Darke County Commissioner Mike Stegall.
Robinson started it with “A Tax is a Tax is a Tax.” Stegall... Read More. More Community.

|
Tee it up
By Nathan Eagle
Fore! I doubt the dead Hawaiians can hear the golfers yell, but their
spirits may have something to say about all the errant balls landing on
their final resting place in Po‘ipu. What may be entertaining to some

White House, is more FDR-style federal job-training spending. Sounding
every bit...

rhetoric over substance. The idea comes courtesy of far-right leader Marine Le Pen, a serious
contender for the French presidency in next year’s elections. That is...
