Funding Sources, Bureaucrats and Lobbyists,
By Bob Rhoades
Gov. Kasich’s recent attack on labor unions has focused on the actual
act of negotiations and arbitration. One of the things that no
one has focused on is state funding in general. There are many forms of
funding for the various state agencies. Many state processes and
agencies are funded simply by the state income taxes that people and
companies pay. Gasoline taxes pay for road improvements.
Fishing and hunting licenses pay for ODNR and keeping our state
wildlife functions funded. There are as many funding sources as
there are agencies. As you can see, if managed correctly, the
funding for the various agencies... Read More. See More

memories of him will be vastly different from yours, I can only give
you my perspective of a man who seemed larger than life to a small
child. My Grandpa Elliott was many things to many people. He was a

Townhall.com... Wind Power:
Questionable Benefits, Concealed Impacts
By Paul Driessen

imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) and T Boone Pickens’ wind farm
plan practical, affordable and inevitable. That was then. Barely two

undreamed-of energy riches – as drillers discover how to produce gas
from shale, coal... Read

Our last surviving

lied about his age to enlist. According to an AP story, one of the
things he wanted to see was a memorial for WWI veterans… and was sad
that it didn’t happen. See the tribute to him in News by Redstate. And
Bob Rhoades sheds more light on the role another institution – lobbies
– has played on budget problems. In News:
