Knowing Who You Are and What You are Doing
By Bob Robinson, Editor

GREENVILLE – Service, character, leadership… and fun. Key Club International Division 3 Lt. Governor Mariah Reitz gave Greenville Kiwanians a taste of what it’s like to go to one of her Division meetings. She had Greenville High School Key Club members hand out three work sheets, telling them to do the “Beginning Exercise” first. Some Kiwanians pulled out pens and pencils and started following the directions… Step 1: Draw a large circle in the middle of your paper… Suddenly, a number of Kiwanians stood up and started... Honoring All our WWI Heroes
By Ken Blackwell

President Obama and Vice President Biden this week paid an unannounced visit to Arlington National Cemetery. They went there to offer the thanks of a grateful nation for the service of Frank Buckles, the last known survivor of the American “Doughboys” of World War I. Buckles was barely 16 when he fibbed about his age to get into uniform. It is altogether fitting and proper that they... Read More. See More Blogs.

John Kasich, R-Ohio, has announced a new budget for his cash-strapped state, and voters are none too happy. Polls show his approval rating at 40 percent, less than three months after he assumed office. Ohio’s budget is more than $8 billion in... Read More. See More Blogs.

Japan and Libya are dominating the national news; Gov. Kasich is getting kudos from the usual places… plus the not so usual ones. He has attracted the attention of a national blogger at Townhall and the Plain Dealer says he’s ushering in a leaner government. If I had to make a “commentary” (which I will), maybe the handwriting isn’t on the wall in Washington yet, but it is in Ohio. Also in the News: Boehner to Obama: Define the mission; and Northwestern Mutual hiring 2,500 college interns. Community: Enjoy the spring scenery as a volunteer. Blogs: An Ohio budget to usher in leaner local government; and This week is the first anniversary of Obamacare. Obituaries: Esther Irene Warner. For Yesterday's Home Page Click Here.
