The UNSPEAKABLE Mime
By Bob Robinson
Photos by Robinson and Elaine Bailey
How many of you remember this guy? The first set of photos (seen at the
end of this photo set) were taken in 2007 at the 151st Great Darke
County Fair. The featured entertainers were Terri Clark, Jason Gracin…
and the Unspeakable Mime. He was almost as big a hit with the crowd as
were the entertainers who performed later on the big stage. Since then
he has likely appeared every year around the fairgrounds and at the
annual concerts. This year he was... Read More. More Community.

Bear’s Mill for the First Time
By Jessica Transue, Teen Scribe & Greenville IMTV Senior
My assignment was to take a trip to Bear’s Mill, an old building from
the late 1840s in Greenville, Ohio. Going to an antique place to “look
around” didn’t seem like much fun, but walking around with my best
friend and taking pictures of such unique architecture and pieces of
art was overwhelming. I took so many pictures; everywhere I turned I
saw something new... Read More. More Community.

ROSSBURG - If one thing can be said about Brian Ruhlman, it’s this...
He’s learned what it takes to win at Eldora. Despite threatening
weather at the local speed plant, the fourth Annual Baltes Classic went
off without a hitch Sunday and Ruhlman won the event in classic Ruhlman
style. On a night marred with cautions, it was a caution that played
into... Read More. More Sports. |

America’s Uncle Omar Problem
by Michelle Malkin
“Always remember. Never forget.” The phrase is now emblazoned in red
across the U.S. Department of Homeland Security website. But as the
Obama administration disseminates its talking points to mark the 10th
anniversary of the 9/11 jihadist attacks, the White House remains
stone-silent about the president’s Uncle Omar problem. The...

NOTES
FROM
THE
EDITOR - TODAY IS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6,
2011 |
One of the highlights of the Great Darke County Fair is the Unspeakable
Mime. The only other time I’d seen him was in 2007. This year he seemed
to be everywhere… dressed differently… even with a companion. Can’t
wait to see what he does next year. Also in News: Private firms get only one prison; Kasich appoints mostly males; and Drug tests for legislators? Community: Supreme Court: Visitor Education Center Accepting Grant Applications. Events: September Meeting Scheduled. Senior Scribes: Clear Vision, a Poem by Lois Wilson. Blogs: The price looks right; What’s Off the Table in 2012?; and The Obama Administration really is a collective of whiners. For
