Greenville and Darke County Ohio honored those fallen during the Sept.
11, 2001, attack on the Twin Towers in New York City, The Pentagon and
the plane destined for Washington, D.C., that had been brought down by
its passengers. Nearly 3,000 people of all nationalities perished on
that day, followed by thousands of American soldiers as the United
States responded with conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. The ceremony

on lap 12, it was his race to win. Owens was not going to be denied.
