Annual ‘Rite of Spring’ at Greenville Circle
By Bob Robinson
Sometime Sunday night or early Monday morning, an event took place that

Circle. As I took photos, young people (still on their Spring break)
drove by with thumbs up and horns honking. The usual rubber-neckers
slowed down to catch a glimpse of the sudsy tradition. And a few
friends told me not to get too... Read

CINCINNATI -- Even with Albert Pujols’ name nowhere near the lineup

By Christy L. Riley
For some spring does not come until mid-April; fortunately or
unfortunately depending upon who you ask, spring has arrived to stay.

birds are singing, flowers blooming, and signs of new life apparent for
all to see. Bern Williams once said, “The day the Lord created... Read

FROM
THE EDITOR... ON THE INSIDE - TODAY IS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11,
2012 |
I
had a little fun Monday with Greenville high school students’ annual
“Rite of Spring.” While I couldn’t be sure, I thought there had been
one or two times since I’ve been here it hadn’t been done. I found out
today that I was right. One of my students at Edison said that her
class didn’t do it last year. On Tuesday all that was left was a few
bubbles. Also in News: Single vehicle injury accident; and Ohio’s oil and gas industry emerging as a big player in the political process.
Sports: Sale pushes White Sox past Indians 4-2.
