|
Greenville Eagles 2177…
The Easter Bunny visits Eagles Shade Road
Last week, the Easter Bunny dropped by Eagles Shade Road and hid eggs
for about 20 children and grandchildren of Eagles members. He came out
a little later to view his handiwork as the “Under 6” group wrapped up
its search. The children were separated into two groups: the “Under 6”
with eggs mostly in plain sight and the 7-12 group that had to search a
little harder at a different location for their rewards. Mr. Bunny then
took the children... Read

THAT'S MY OPINION
|
Are we stupid or what?
A meaningless rant
By Bob Robinson
The Rasmussen Report on Tuesday showed President Obama’s approval
rating at a –17. This means that 24 percent of the public strongly
approved of Obama’s performance in office while 41 percent strongly
disapproved. Could that have to do with the latest release of the
unemployment numbers? Only 120,000 jobs were created in March... Read

FROM
THE EDITOR... ON THE INSIDE - TODAY IS THURSDAY, APRIL 12,
2012 |
Wednesday
morning I substituted at Woodland Heights – first graders – and got a
pleasant surprise. I got to take my first school bus ride in 50-60
years because the kids had to go to Memorial Hall to practice for a
first grade concert tonight. The trip brought back memories… mixed
ones… but the kids enjoyed it. I did, too. This time I got to be the
“teacher” and not the student. Also in News: Health-care law will add $340 billion to deficit. Sports: Eldora… Memories, Support to be Perpetuated through Booster Wall. Community: National Library Week. Blogs: ‘We Need Voter ID Laws Now.’ For
