2012 - BOB RHOADES ON ROBINSON'S MONDAY OPINION
|
How do we fix the idiot at the park?
By Bob Rhoades
In Bob Robinson’s opinion on Monday he wrote about his time at Woodland
Heights and Susie Reigle. He wanted to know at the end, as he
always does, what our opinion was. People feel bad when good,
hometown people come here and then leave? Krista Stump started it last
year. The former Woodland Heights Principal went to Ansonia for
more money, less headaches, a new building and support. Don’t
know how many more there were, but TJ Powers and Susie are just... Read

An old adage is true
By George Starks
With the things that have been happening around here in the local
school system, I am reminded of an old adage my mother use to say. “One
person’s trash is another person’s treasure.” This has always stuck
with me through the years. I have reminded myself of this a lot lately.
Not only has this come true with my editor, Bob Robinson, and me, but
also my former sports editor, Ron Greeson as... Read

Physical therapy through gaming
Q. My husband’s best friend recently suffered a massive stroke. We
thank God he survived and was able to go home. He lives in a remote
area and his wife still has to work, so attending rehab will be a
challenge. My husband thinks a tablet could be used for therapy. Are
there any applications that could be downloaded? Could you tell us how
to find... Read

FROM
THE EDITOR... ON THE INSIDE - TODAY IS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18,
2012 |
The
latest loss of hometown talent, Susie Riegle, has sparked more rhetoric
from two different perspectives. Rhoades and Starks speak out. CNO had
no Internet Tuesday and your editor had a full schedule of teaching,
locally and at Edison, so I’m still working on the Riegle interview.
Check out Tina’s story. Good job. Also in News: Obama Wanted Higher Gasoline Prices?
