“I cried all the way home that first day”
Susie Riegle recalls her 31 years in the profession
By Bob Robinson
“I would hug your knee-caps except I’m too big!” Susie Riegle said in
greeting when we met for her interview a couple weeks ago. She had
obviously read my commentary posted that day on CNO. Now that the dust
has settled (a little) regarding Greenville Supt. Susie Riegle’s
impending retirement, I thought it appropriate to put my two-cents
worth in... Read

Help educate kids on oral health
A beautiful smile not only enables a person to eat and speak properly,
but it also builds stronger self-confidence. Too often, however,
we don’t realize the devastating effects of not caring for our teeth
before it is too late. “Preventing dental disease before it occurs is
our focus. Left untreated... Read

Democrats Think You’re Stupid
by Armstrong Williams
Barack Obama thinks that you’re stupid. And, if you’re one of the 45%
of us who still support him after Solyndra, after Fast and Furious,
after the GSA scandal, after the voter ID controversy, after the
Buffett Rule, after the Secret Service Scandal, and so on, you might
be. If you don’t believe me that he thinks you’re stupid, consider the
following. I watched... Read

FROM
THE EDITOR... ON THE INSIDE - TODAY IS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25,
2012 |
A
week ago Monday I interviewed Susie Riegle regarding her retirement.
For a variety of reasons, I hadn’t yet written the story – no excuse,
but there were reasons. And frankly, I thought the interest had settled
down. Not so. Three people asked me today if they’d missed the story.
Fortunately, I’d already started working on it, so here it is… with my
apologies for the delay. In News: New driver’s licenses will take more time, proof. Sports: Lady Roaders get big win at Covington; Indians beat Royals; MLB Standings; Former NFLQB arrested. Events: Celebrate Spring at Shawnee Prairie with the Guild. Blogs: Romney explains Obama’s ‘all of the above’ energy policy. Obituaries: Bill D. Williams. For
