to visit many towns. Lo and behold, Santa was called to a small town in
Ohio. It was Greenville and he was asked to be in the Holiday parade.
So, Santa got his bright red suit, black boots all spruced up and bells
sparkling. He had his beard brushed and combed out. He was looking good
to meet all the children and parents which lined the downtown sidewalks
by the hundreds. It was time for the… Read

An Old Diary, An Old Calendar
By Mona Lease
Hi, all!! There's a 100 year old diary a WWI soldier kept. In a pocket

food from "KP", being able to eat at a table (some French people
"hosted" the troops with a hot meal & bath before...

GREENVILLE- The sign at Stebbins Field simply says, ‘you build it and
they will come’. It wasn’t long ago, in his mind, that Greenville

Miss me yet? A surprise for returning troops
From Bob Robinson
I got these from a reader. I’d seen it before but didn’t do anything
other than enjoy the photos. This time I checked it out just to make
sure it was legit… Why? Because quite frankly, the way things are going
today I miss the guy. And yes, the photos are legit. I didn’t like a
few of the things our... Read

Memorial Hall was the setting for a memorial weekend. The hall was
packed for “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”… and it was the scene (at
least to me) of a sad announcement. DCCA Executive Director Julie
Strait is retiring. I served on the Board during her tenure; I
respected her leadership. CNO wishes Julie and her successor (to be
named) success in their future endeavors. Don’t forget to
