Power of the Pen… DeColores, Versailles students earn POP honors

DeColores Montessori and Versailles Middle School students took honors
in Saturday’s Seventh and Eighth Grade Power of the Pen competition at
Botkins Local School, with DeColores student Jacob Troutwine earning
First Place in the Seventh Grade Individual Contest. Troutwine also
earned Seventh Grade Best of Round Three with his essay entitled,
“Overreacting to Overcast Weather.” In other Individual Seventh Grade
results, Megan Marchal, Versailles, took Second Place, and Hannah

Tigers top Jets in a slam dunk

VERSAILLES- Versailles got the party started Friday against Minster and
ended it Saturday with Franklin Monroe. After taking their frustrations
out on the Wildcats Friday in a 69-50 MAC victory, the Tigers backed it

CASSTOWN- The Versailles Lady Tigers rolled into Casstown Saturday with
visions of a victory over Miami East. Those visions quickly turned into
a nightmare as the Lady Vikings went to 18-1 on the season as

Bradford Girls Step Up When Needed

BRADFORD- Bradford started to get into foul trouble before the end of
the first half, but with its strong bench players, the Lady roaders
came out with a 44-34 victory over Riverside Saturday. Bradford
controlled the boards, gaining an advantage over the Pirates. The

students to shine. And they did at the Power of the Pen in Botkins
