2011 Sparked a Time for Renewal in Ohio
Members of the Senate Majority helped in sparking job creation and economic growth
The past twelve months saw Ohio forge a new path toward economic
expansion and growth. From the onset of the 129th General Assembly,
Senate Republicans introduced a slate of policy proposals fixed on
bringing real relief to the state’s residents while also overhauling
the way in which government operates. Thanks to a series of responsible
and balanced reform measures, Ohio is beginning to realize many of the
possibilities that lay ahead. We knew from the start that job creation
would need to be the centerpiece of any true and lasting recovery and
that is what led to the groundbreaking... Read More. More Opinion. |

Lady Wave quick start fizzles
By George Starks
GREENVILLE- After one quarter of play, it looked like the Greenville
Lady Wave would hang with Vandalia-Butler. With things knotted at 8-8,
Greenville was right in the thick of it. That all would change and
change quickly. By the break, the Wave would trail 34-15 and would be
held to just nine more points from the end of the first frame to the
end...

by Jeff Clabaugh
A Careerbuilder survey of hiring executives finds 23 percent of U.S.

The Economy Through the Eyes of the Opposition
by Armstrong Williams
Naturally I disagree with much of the opposition and my well-meaning
colleagues on the left in regards to Keynes and his school of
economics. Many in this school of thought cannot accept the fact that
Keynesian economics has never worked; it did not work in the depression
nor has it worked any time since then. The only time stimulus... Read More. More Blogs. |

did it again. Our president has added another “Czar” at our expense.
He’s our just appointed Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director
Richard Cordray. Another bureaucrat responsible to no one but our
fearless leader. That brings Obama’s “Czar count” to 33 (by my
definition, in other words done without the required Constitutional
Senate confirmation process). Good thing? You be the judge. Also in Community: Volunteer Opportunity: Activity Assistant. Events: Martin Luther King Day closing; and Children’s Art Class Begins Winter Sessions. Sports: Locals in NFL Playoffs. For
