Community in a celebratory mood despite heat

Temps were playing tag with three digits by the time the New Madison
Independence Day parade kicked off at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Gone was the
breeze that provided brief relief earlier in the day at Ansonia. The
heat didn’t stop residents of the small community from setting up for
