48 future Lady Trojans participate in Basketball Camp
By George Starks
ARCANUM- “The future of Lady Trojan basketball starts here with our
youth. You have to build your youth program and when you do that,
you’re going to have success.” Those were the words of Arcanum Lady
Trojan basketball coach Rachel Fearon as the 2012 Lady Trojan
basketball camp came to an end Thursday. With 48 in camp, it was not
only a successful camp but an exciting one as well. “It was very
exciting for me as a coach to... Read

believe it is important to serve in our home towns and communities, I
also believe it’s important to serve outside of our comfort zones in
other places around the world.” In that article, you heard from
Cheyanne, who had... Read

You Just Can’t Make this Stuff Up
Edited by Bob Robinson
Messed up headlines is one of the “banes” of journalism. As a career
journalist I’ve seen my share of dumb chucklers… and even made a few
mistakes myself. Actually, far too many. Most of mine, however, were
simply dumb grammar or spelling errors. I don’t think I ever gave
anyone a good hearty laugh... Read

FROM
THE EDITOR... ON THE INSIDE - SUNDAY, JULY 15,
2012 |
As
I’ve often said, County News Online operates on a shoestring budget…
the goal is scholarships for our kids. It’s a fundraiser, however, that
has taken on a life of its own as a source of community news and
information. In keeping with CNO’s continued growth and acceptance, our
webmaster Kurt Fritsch, has figured out how to streamline our
navigation… without spending a penny! It took a ton of work, but we now
have a great new look! Be sure to check out the tabs. Also in Blogs: Unemployment better when Rep governors elected. Community: Canine Capers June Meeting. News: Bird causes fire in Darke County. Obituaries: Graveside Memorial Service for John Ball. For
