Hope
By George Starks
DARKE COUNTY- When it comes to a family tradition in the Hope family,

driver and trainer and it was all started by his grandpa, Virgil
Carpenter. “I have no idea what made grandpa want to get into this
business,” said Tom. “ All I know is that after a period of time, he
passed it down to my uncle, his son, Perry Carpenter and it was passed
on to me. If grandpa were still... Read

FROM
THE EDITOR... ON THE INSIDE - WEDNESDAY, JULY 18,
2012 |
Bloggers (and me) yelling about Obama’s uncontrolled spending programs
and violations of the constitution have been going on quite a while.
The
latest, however, has created an uproar (everywhere except the networks,
of course). This president, by executive order, is attempting to
override
a legal act of Congress. Do you really want another four years of this?
Just my opinion, of course. See today’s blog. Also in Blogs: America’s Civil War – Makers vs Takers.
Letters: Tom Subler comments on Romney-Bain from experience.
News: Rasmussen: Last week’s polls.
Opinion: Al Bliss comments on recent T.E.A. meeting.
Obituaries: Leslie Lee Russell.
