Big changes coming for Lady Wave Softball
By George Starks
GREENVILLE- Go by Stebbins Field these days and the silence is almost
unnerving. It won’t be that way much longer. After the summer leagues

will undergo a huge face lift. Plans are in the making and funds are
trying to be raised for the new home of LWSB. It will still be diamond
three with a twist. Soon, it will be Lady Wave Stadium... Read

Ensuring Veterans Get the Care They Need
Last month, our country observed Memorial Day, a day when we take the
time to remember the servicemembers who sacrificed their lives for our
country. In remembering the servicemembers who paid the ultimate price
for their nation, we should also express our gratitude by honoring the
veterans with us today and making sure they have access to good-paying

COLLEGE BOUND 2012 |
The end of life as I know it
By Elizabeth Horner
When I first heard that 2012 was the supposed end of the world, I

The Cost of Education is More than Just Dollars
by Michael Becker
Full disclosure, I have an undergraduate degree in engineering, went to
a business graduate school and I’m currently working on a second
technical bachelors degree. I’ve spent a lot of time hanging around
higher education. And over my lifetime I’ve watched the value of
“college” drop in direct proportion... Read

THE EDITOR... ON THE INSIDE - TODAY IS SUNDAY, JUNE 10,

Diamond
3 to get a new name… Lady Wave Stadium. Our lead story, and you got it
first on CNO. The Poultry Days parade was a hoot and the BBQ chicken
lines were unbelievable. Great stuff, though. Story and photos on
Monday. County News Online picked up a lot of new readers thanks to
several CNO volunteers… but I locked in a few readers of the future.
