LOVE GOING TO COLUMBUS
|
Another team... another trip
By George Starks
As much as I love sports, there are times when it becomes almost too
heartbreaking. This is not one of them. Making trips to state title
events is what makes this job worthwhile. My first ever trip to a state
sporting event came in the state of Indiana and the sport was
wrestling. The place, the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. Randolph County
Indiana had three or four kids make it through to state. Three of those
kids were from Winchester High School... Read

TYPICAL FED TINKERING... THEY CAN'T HELP IT
|
Townhall Finance...
Fed Hooey
by Larry Kudlow
I didn’t want to let the latest cockamamie Fed idea for “sterilized”
bond buying pass without a comment. A Wall Street Journal story
explained that somehow the Fed will buy more long-term bonds, print new
money, and then borrow the money back so it doesn’t cause inflation.
It’s all a lot of hooey. Typical Fed tinkering. They can’t seem to help
themselves. The dollar has already fallen about 1 percent... Read

FROM
THE EDITOR... ON THE INSIDE - TODAY IS TUESDAY, MARCH 13,
2012 |
A
whistleblower claim by an EMA employee has been going on since November
2009. It became public a week ago and the Commissioners have agreed to
a $56,000 lump sum (plus the $7K they’ve already paid to counsel) to
settle it. In the meantime a few miles south of Greenville, the small
community of New Madison celebrates the accomplishments of its youth.
It will be interesting to see which stories get read the most. Have a
great day! Also in News: What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls. Commissioners: Announced Public Meetings Feb. 27, Feb. 29, March 5 and March 7. Blogs: Presidential Pork Kills Keystone. For
