Public Meeting Minutes on Lucas settlement posted

The public meeting minutes for Monday, March 12, and Wednesday, March 14, have been posted. These are the meetings in which there was considerable discussion regarding the County settlement with Melody Lucas, the Whistleblower who cost June Mong, Director of the Darke County EMA, her job. Darke County Commissioner Diane Delaplane and an unnamed county employee were stated as the reason for the settlement with Lucas. Also posted (from last week) were the March 5 meeting minutes in which the settlement was announced; but did not at that time implicate Delaplane. The last time I experienced spring in March was in Southern California. I certainly have no problem with it in God’s Country, but I’m not sure what bodes for us this summer.
