CNO presents $3,500 check to SSSF
County News Online editor Bob Robinson presented a check for $3,500 to
Al Greiner, Treasurer of the Senior Scribes Scholarship Fund, at its
recent banquet for this year’s scholarship recipients. CNO was
initiated as a fundraiser for the Scholarship Fund in December 2010.
The news and information service went online on January 15, 2011 and a
few months later presented a check for $1,500 to the fund. Robinson’s

got hammered for my “Angry as hell” opinion piece Monday. Years ago, I
used to get a ‘rush’ when I hit home and got responses – positive &
negative – on my opinion articles. Today, all I could think of was the
youth I worked with earlier that day in my sub assignment. With few
exceptions, these were sharp kids. We were reviewing for a quiz… and
they knew their stuff. What they don’t know is what’s waiting for them
