Living the Dream… Final Notes
By Lyn Bliss
What to say about the past week spent in Tampa at the GOP National
Convention? Bob said he’d like a “wrap-up” – and I am trying to come up
with something that would provide that. When I think of the week and
work on explaining it, I come up with words like inspiring,
informational, educational, enjoyable, outstanding, and other
descriptive terms along those lines. But, I think the two things I
heard that have stayed... Read

DARKE
COUNTY FAIR |
Fun to Be Had!
By Naiesha Thobe
Well, the fair is over and done with. Greenville went from excitement
and business to slow and lethargic between this week and last. Between
the fair and everyday life, you have to wonder where all the people
that were at the fairgrounds went to. Everyone has receded back to
their everyday lives... But the fair went well, yes? I... Read

TIGERS HAD SOMETHING TO PROVE |
V-Tigers clip Graham's wings
VERSAILLES
- After a sloppy showing a week ago in Celina, falling to the Bulldogs
46-26, the Versailles Tigers (1-1) got things on the right track Friday
at H.B. Hole Field. It was a night of old fashioned Versailles football
as the Tigers took the Graham Falcons to the cleaners, rolling to a
40-7 non-conference victory. It was a night when the Falcons never... Read

LIBERALS REDUCED TO WAILING
|
Townhall…
The Ryan Vision: Let's Get This Done
David Limbaugh
The Democrats and their mainstream media cheering section can huff and
puff at Paul Ryan's convention speech, but they can't blow his house
down. It was built on a solid foundation. So powerful was the speech
that the liberal establishment is reduced to wailing about alleged lies
the speech contained -- dishonest... Read

NOTES
& THOUGHTS
FROM
THE EDITOR... ON THE INSIDE - MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 3,
2012 |
The
RNC is over; the DNC begins tomorrow night. County News Online will do
its best to provide you with information on the Democrat response to
the slight poll boost Romney got following last week’s events. We won’t
have anyone there (that I know of) to send us a play-by-play, but we’ll
do our best. I asked Lyn to send a wrap-up on her week in Tampa. That’s
our lead story today. The Editor’s Photo of the Day comes from Elaine
Bailey. Her Fair story will be posted Tuesday. Also in Blogs: We can change America’s course. Events: DCCA annual meeting; Darke County Parks volunteer opportunities; Garst Museum Fun Day. News: White House on those who served. Promos: Labor Day Special from Hansbarger. For
